Dr. Shrivardhan Dheeman

Dr. Shrivardhan Dheeman serves as the Deputy Director of IQAC, NEP Coordinator, and Associate Dean at the School of Allied Health Sciences at MVN University, Palwal (NCR), Haryana, India. As an Associate Professor specializing in Microbiology and Biotechnology, Dr. Dheeman earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Microbiology from Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be) University, Haridwar (UK). He began his academic journey at his alma mater, progressing into teaching and research. He later took on the role of Assistant Professor at Sardar Bhagwan Singh University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.  

His research interests are primarily focused on agricultural microbiology, particularly in the area of plant-microbe interactions, with an emphasis on rhizobacteria that function as biofertilizers to promote sustainable agriculture. Dr. Shrivardhan Dheeman has made significant contributions to the field of microbial diversity, with over 50 published articles, including research papers, reviews, and book chapters in reputable journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. Additionally, he has edited approximately 6 books published by Springer Nature and has submitted more than two dozen nucleotide sequences (16S rRNA genes) of agriculturally resilient bacterial strains to the NCBI in the USA.  

In recognition of his impactful research on microbial diversity in the Himalayas, Dr. Dheeman was nominated for the Young Scientist Award by the ISCA during the 103rd Indian Science Congress at Mysore University in Mysuru, India. Dr. Dheeman is actively engaged in innovative research, teaching both online and offline courses, and enhancing skills for students and professionals. He is a lifetime member of several prestigious scientific organizations, including the Indian Science Congress, the Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture, the Association of Microbiologists of India, and the Microbiologist Society of India. Furthermore, he contributes as an associate editor for the journal Frontiers in Microbiology. Through his dedicated efforts, Dr. Shrivardhan Dheeman aims to advance the field of microbiology and biotechnology.
