Shrivardhan Dheeman was born into a humble middle-class family. His father has served as a Junior Engineer at an electricity substation in the village of Nagal, nestled in the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. His mother grew up young Shrivardhan with profound wisdom. He pursued his primary education in the village’s school. But his thirst for acquiring knowledge led him to set his sights higher, embarking on a transformative journey at Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be) University (erst. Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya) in Haridwar, where become graduated with a major in Industrial Microbiology and minors in Chemical Sciences and Animal Sciences. Additionally, from Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be) University, he pursued a postgraduate degree (M.Sc.) in Microbiology. Under the esteemed guidance of Professor D. K. Maheshwari, Shrivardhan earned a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Microbiology in 2016. Dr. Dheeman joined the Department of Botany and Microbiology at his alma mater, first served as a Guest-Faculty member and later as Assistant Professor (Adhoc). In year 2018, He Joined Department of Microbiology at Sardar Bhagwan Singh University as Assistant Professor. Presently, Dr. Dheeman is an Associate Professor and holding leadership profiles of Deputy Director - IQAC, NEP Coordinator, and Associate Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences at MVN University, Palwal (NCR), Haryana. His research is on innovative strategies to enhance soil fertility in organic systems, augmenting soil microbial diversity, and fortifying nutrient cycling. He is passionate about research towards sustainable agriculture. His dedicated teaching nurtured students and paved their path toward esteemed industries and academia.

His research was focused on investigating the diversity of Bacillus, a group of spore-forming bacteria, present in the rhizosphere of Eleusine coracana L (Ragi). In his study, he employed the Simpson and Shannon-Wiener Index to explore site-specific diversity. During greenhouse experiments and field trials, he observed the PGP (Plant Growth-Promoting) Bacillus have demonstrated both direct and indirect impacts on plant growth, leading to enhancements in vegetative and reproductive growth parameters. Notably, the density and diversity of cultivable bacteria showed a positive correlation at specific sites under his investigations.
Moreover, the research explored the biodiversity of cultivable spore-forming bacteria in the altitudinal gradients of the majestic Himalayas, a biodiversity hotspot. The study shed light on the adaptability and capabilities of Bacillus in countering environmental calamities, making them effective Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR).
In summary, his study encompassed a comprehensive exploration of Bacillus diversity in the rhizosphere of Eleusine coracana L, highlighting its significance in promoting plant growth and its adaptability to various environmental conditions, particularly in the ecologically sensitive regions of Himalaya.
