Shrivardhan Dheeman

Dr. Shrivardhan Dheeman is Deputy Director IQAC, NEP Coordinator and Associate Professor & Head Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology at MVN University, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, India.

Dr. Dheeman holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Microbiology from Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar. Previously, he taught at his alma mater and initiated his career in teaching and research. He then served as an Assistant Professor at Sardar Bhagwan Singh University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.

His research interests lie in Agricultural Microbiology, focusing on Plant-Microbe Interactions, particularly on the rhizobacteria that function as biofertilizers, contributing to sustainable agriculture. He specializes in Plant-Microbe Interactions and Microbial Ecology. He has published over 50 articles, including research papers, reviews, and book chapters in prestigious journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. He has edited about 6 books, published by Springer Nature. More than 25 nucleotide sequences and 16S rRNA genes of agriculturally resilient bacterial strains have been submitted to the NCBI, USA.

In recognition of his notable research in the microbial diversity of the Himalayas, he was nominated for the Young Scientist Award by the ISCA at the 103rd Indian Science Congress at Mysore University, Mysuru, India.

Dr. Dheeman conducts innovative research, teaches online and offline courses, and develops skills for students and professionals. Dr. Dheeman is a lifetime member of several esteemed scientific bodies, including the Indian Science Congress and the Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture, Association of Microbiologist of India and Microbiologist Society of India. He is an associate editor for Frontiers of Microbiology. Through his contributions, he aims to advance the knowledge and practice of microbiology and biotechnology.
